Medical geography - also known as "health geographics" - is the branch of geography that deals with the study of environmental effects on people's health as well as the geographical distribution of diseases including the environmental effects of locale and climate upon health. It aims to improve the understanding of the various factors which affect the health of populations and hence individuals.
